Conflict-Free Diamonds

Every natural diamond at MOH London is certified conflict-free under the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme — the international framework established in 2003 to prevent the trade in diamonds that finance armed conflict. But our commitment goes beyond the minimum standard.

Every natural diamond at MOH London is certified conflict-free under the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme — the international framework established in 2003 to prevent the trade in diamonds that finance armed conflict. But our commitment goes beyond the minimum standard.

We source exclusively from established, regulated supply chains with full traceability from mine to market. Our suppliers are members of the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) and adhere to the World Diamond Council's System of Warranties. This means every diamond we sell can be traced back to a legitimate, ethically operated mine.

Conflict diamonds — also known as blood diamonds — are now estimated to represent less than 1% of the global diamond trade, thanks to the Kimberley Process and industry self-regulation. At MOH London, we go further by maintaining direct relationships with our suppliers and requiring full documentation at every stage of the supply chain. When you purchase a diamond from us, you can be confident it was sourced responsibly.

Understanding Conflict-Free Certification

The Kimberley Process was established after the devastating civil wars in Sierra Leone and Angola, where diamond revenue funded armed groups. Today, 82 countries participate in the scheme, and conflict diamonds represent a fraction of 1% of global trade. MOH London's sourcing standards exceed Kimberley Process requirements — we insist on full chain-of-custody documentation and only work with Responsible Jewellery Council members.
