CLASSIC - ELEGANT - SPARKLING

The king of Diamond shapes – The Round diamond. Also generally refer as Brilliant Round Diamond. This shape of diamond is recognised as the classical diamond form in modern times. Best known for its brilliance, this cut has 58 angular facets, which allows light to travel from the bottom of the diamond back through the top for dazzling sparkle. Round cut diamonds are known for their flexibility in cut, colour, clarity and carat weight.

The round brilliant is the most popular diamond shape, representing almost 75% of diamonds sold. These diamonds carry the highest premium as it is usually possible to retain more carat size by cutting to fancy shapes than cut to a round brilliant cut diamond. Apart from the popular brilliant cut, loose round diamonds can also be found in the Old mine or European cut.

A well-cut round shaped diamond has proportionate pavilion and table. For the greatest brilliance and fire, we recommend only very good and excellent cut grades for round brilliant diamonds. (A cut grade is only given to round diamonds. This term refers to the diamond’s proportions—specifically how the facets interact with the light.

Round Diamond Guide

Round brilliant cut diamonds have an iconic reputation, one that’s sure to impress. The beauty of the round cut diamond lies in the mathematical precision of the cuts, maximising light and brilliance through the 58 facets. This makes the round cut the most expensive diamond cut. This is due to the fact that during the process, a lot of the stone is cut away to reveal one exquisite perfect round brilliant stone.
